I cut my hair. I am retiring from the music business. I’ve just gotten to old for it. There comes a time when you just need to cut your losses, reap your gains and just move on. I hung out with music electronics visionary Aspen Pittman, the founder of Groove Tubes, which is now owned by Fender, at his music studio and classic car shop. He refused to give me some tubes, which I felt hurt by at the time, but instead gave me his book instead. At the moment, I didn’t understand why. However, over time I realized what a necessity this book has been for me and for any tube amp owner. The resources are innumerable and his generosity of knowledge is astounding.
